Building information modeling, or BIM, has had a major impact on the construction industry. BIM brings a number of advantages such as efficiency, collaboration and visualization, but it also implies the correct adoption by professionals joining project teams in a BIM environment.
The focus of this mini-course is to present an introduction to professionals or students with no prior knowledge of BIM, its tools, or protocols. The module will cover key BIM concepts, workflows, tools, and links to other trends. At the end of the course each student can expect to have a strong basis of BIM and its implications in their work.
